King of The Beach
Wavves a.k.a. Nathan Williams will officially drop his new record, King of The Beach via Fat Possum on Tuesday. The album has been available digitally for the better part of the last month, so if it seems a bit anticlimactic, I'm with you. However the album is a big step forward for Williams and co., it retains the bands sonic edge, but the record feels a bit more mature to me and seems to being standing up well after a month of steady listening. Wavves have announced a headlining tour that will bring the California kids to our area for three dates, however none of which are in Boston, but it looks like I just found my excuse to check out the soon to be re-opened Met Cafe in Providence.
