This Weeks Short Bursts:: Locals Only Editon

Late last fall we were thrilled to discover Andrew Churchman's post Pants Yell! project, Cuffs via the 3 song, 4-Track Demos. Cuffs features former Pants Yell!/ current Reports drummer Casey Keenan, Reports guitarist Martin Pavlinic and Ian Drennan from Big Troubles. Although the jangle pop of Chrurchan's former band remains, Cuffs delivers the tracks with a bit more punch. The band have just issued their debut 7" on Ride The Snake Records. The Privilege b/w Archer 7" is available now and is limited to 300 copies, so grab em' while they last.

Cuffs will play TT The Bears Place on June 9th with Allo, Darlin' and One Happy Island.

While in the process of recording their Kickstarter funded next album, Hallelujah the Hills have had a fairly prolific spring. At the end of March the band issued the sparkling Country Before Kings b/w Some of Them We Lost 7", last month they unearthed a Joanna Newsome cover and a couple of song collages, and just yesterday Hallelujah The Hills offered up a free download of Every Number Has A Potency, a track the band recorded back in 2009. All of which are available over at the HTH Bandcamp page.

Halleujah The Hills play TT The Bears Place on June 30th with Ladybug Transistor, Cotton Candy and St. Clare.
